He is survived by his loving wife of over 51 years, Peggy (Roberts) Scaggs, a brother Robert Debbie) Scaggs Jr., a sister Belinda Perkins, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Debbie and Gary Bradley, nephews Scott Mathews, Rob (Heather) Scaggs, Chester Perkins Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, a niece Jennifer Scaggs and brother-in-law Mike Roberts. He had been the owner of Bennett’s Tree Service. Bennett was a member of the Full Gospel Community Church and he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was born April 1, 1949, in Springfield, the son of Henry Bennett and Pauline (Glock) (Bennett) Jackson. Thomas Floyd “Tom” Bennett, 74, of Springfield, passed away February 7, 2024, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
